Activities on LISA
Our participation on LISA started in the 90's in the LIST (LISA Internat. Science Team), which continued in 2000 with R&D on long term stabilized lasers as well as stochastic sources and modeling activities.

Since 2015, we are actively involved in the Phase 0 of AITV (Assembly, Integration, Test and Verification) of the LISA Science Instrument, in collaboration with the APC (Laboratoire Astroparticule et Cosmologie) and the CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales).

In this context, our laboratory is contributing to:

  • the definition of the AITV flow, corresponding to the integration of the main subsystems being at the heart of the LISA Instrument: the Telescope (TEL), the Optical Bench (OB) and the Gravitational Reference Sensors (GRS);
  • the description of functional and performance tests required to validate the performance of the assembled system;
  • the description of the Special Check-Out Equipment’s (SCOE) simulating various subsystems to be integrated as well as to the Ground Support Equipment’s (GSE) required during assembly and integration activities on ground;
  • the definition of various interfaces (ex: electrical, optical, thermal, mechanical) between various subsystems to be integrated.

We have also started R&D activities on the problem of scattered light in LISA.

(We are also active members of the LISA Consortium Board and the Payload Coordination Team recently established by ESA)
