CoCoNuT Meeting 2023

Apr 03, 2023

The CoCoNut meeting is a series of meetings that have been taking place every year since 2008. Originally intended to be a workshop for the users and developers of the CoCoNuT code, it quickly evolved in a more general workshop dealing with a wide variety of topics in the field of relativistic astrophysics where everybody is welcome.

After 3 years pause due to covid we are restarting the series with a workshop mainly focused on binary neutron star mergers and related issues (magnetic field amplification, equation of state, neutrino transport …)

Conference venue:
The meeting will be held at Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in the city of Potsdam in Germany on April 3-5, 2023. The Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) was founded in 1995 by the Max Planck Society for the purpose of pursuing research into the fundamental laws of gravitation. The Institute was established in Brandenburg as part of the expansion of the Max Planck Society after the reunification of Germany. Its establishment was an initiative of its founding Director, Jürgen Ehlers (1929-2008), who retired at the end of 1998. The institute moved from Potsdam to its new building in Golm in 1999.
